Autumn Leaves & Pumpkin Teas

When the temperatures dip at night and the leaves start to change, we are all sweaters and scarves and cozy beverages over here.

So we were delighted to sample a Pumpkin Everything tea box this week from DAVIDsTEA as we embrace the changing energies.

And oh my.

If you’re unfamiliar, DAVIDsTEA has been the go-to shop since 2008 for North Americans in search of well-crafted loose leaf teas.

DAVIDsTEA stocks every tea you can imagine, loose-leaf and sachet, from herbal and green to black and oolong, plus matcha, teaware, and beautiful gift sets. Many of their teas are fruity or flavoured for infusions—speaking of which, PUMPKIN.

Whether or not you’re a frequent steeper, these pumpkin teas are not-to-be-missed this autumn. Like pulling on your favourite wool socks and snuggling up under a blanket, they feel warm and nourishing (and should the temps creep up, all work beautifully iced).

Let’s take a peek inside…

Monster Mash

A brand-favourite that fans wait all year for, this is a sweet, caffeine-free rooibos tea with hints of pumpkin, cinnamon, apple and carrot literally infused with moon and with hat sugar sprinkles, cardamom, ginger clove and nutmeg.

Pumpkin Chai

This medium-caffeine black tea oozes cinnamon and cloves with a lick of caramel and pumpkin candies strewn in. We topped it as suggested with steamed milk and a spoonful of brown sugar—heaven. The perfect spicy Fall chai latte we didn’t know we needed.

Pumpkin Crème Brulée

Caffeine-free and infused with apple, pumpkin, carrot and rosehip, this unique blend also features rich white chocolate, cocoa and biscuit flavouring. Like nothing we have tried before folks, this is straight-up pumpkin pie in a mug.

Pumpkin Pie Matcha

When you need a boost, this tea is your best friend—finely ground matcha with cane sugar and natural pumpkin pie flavouring with a medium, just-enough caffeine level. Incredible straight up, or iced to go in your tea steeper. We shared and later found the packet missing. Coincidence?

Pumpkin Earl Grey

Warm, creamy, and oozing notes of vanilla, this isn’t your grandmother’s Earl Grey. Dotted with marigold petals and bergamot oil, this medium-caffeine beverage is pumpkin but with trendy knee boots and a cashmere throw.

For those of you looking for tea infusing on the go, we cannot recommend their travel press mug enough. We’ve tried a few different options previously (soggy drippings in the car we’re looking at you) and this is hands-down one of the best.

You can steep tea hot or iced by pouring the desired amount of water, steeping to your liking and sliding the press down. Snap on the lip and the double-walled stainless steel mug keeps it hot or cold (simply add ice). The lid actually locks which is super handy and the autumn leaf motif is just so pumpkin patch photo-ready.

DAVIDsTEA is partnered with the Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP), an organization working to improve sustainability in the tea industry and create a fairer system for tea workers, farmers, and their families. Shop their Cozy Fall Collection now including these pumpkin teas at DAVIDsTEA.
